I Need Another External Hard Drive

How are you peeps? I hope you are all doing fine especially to all my friends around the world. I am doing good so far and I am quite happy and contented at the moment. I am quite busy for the past days with a lot of things to do both online and offline.

Anyway, back to main topic..I have been window shopping for another external hard drive online. I need another extra one for my files and photos. This is one of my projects during the first quarter of the year 2012. I guess I am getting a 2 terabyte this time. I am just waiting for a perfect timing to find one which is on sale. I am monitoring this from time to time. Hopefully before I fly to Madrid, Spain next month, I can already order another external hard drive. I am already eyeing one in internet. This is the advantage of online shopping because you can just look at any items at the comfort of your home without driving somewhere especially when it is very cold outside.

2012 Projects

The last day of the month was quite a busy day for me. That is also the reason why I just logged-in online tonight. There are just a lot of plans and projects for this year. Despite some trials at the end of the year 2011, we are still standing up hoping to face everything. There are some good news for the past weeks and we are very glad and thankful about it. It is also time to continue little by little our projects. There are a lot of things that are lining-up. We need to fix our bathroom. We need a new kitchen. The dining floor need to be changed and we are planning to have laminate floors on it. Our garage/terrace still need some walls and tiles for its floor. We need a new oven. The storage at the back of our house needs to be totally fixed. What else? We are hoping to slowly start some of these projects when spring comes. Lastly we also need more budgeting and savings to make these plans turn to reality.

A tiny revolutionary fold-up car designed in Spain's Basque country as the answer to urban stress and pollution was unveiled Tuesday before hitting European cities in 2013.

The "Hiriko," the Basque word for "urban," is an electric two-seater with no doors whose motor is located in the wheels and which folds up like a child's collapsible buggy, or stroller, for easy parking.

Dreamt up by Boston's MIT-Media lab, the concept was developed by a consortium of seven small Basque firms under the name Hiriko Driving Mobility, with a prototype unveiled by European Commission president Jose Manuel Barroso.

Sounds like a song but sometimes girls just wanna have fun! Spending time with friends going out to a disco, attending a party or just simply having a get-together is always a fun experience. I remember when I went out with good friends last autumn 2011. We went to a disco in Fun Park Regensburg. The place is cool, jolly disco music, modern dj equipment and the sound system was awesome. I love watching people with different reactions and dancing styles on the floor. What is going to a disco or bar twice or thrice a year! and yes, girls just wanna have fun sometimes and I love it!

No More Friendster Like Before

Like facebook, friendster was once a social network that I really like. It's been a long time since I haven't visited this site. During my last sign-in in my account sometimes in September or October 2011, I noticed that it is already totally different. I can't even see the many photos that I uploaded in their websites. I don't know what happened to it. My profile picture was also gone. Friendster was once where I can communicate with my friends and family around the world. Since most people now are using facebook (imagine around 800 millions of users worldwide!), a lot of social networking sites like friendster, myspace, netlog and many others are becoming unpopular.

I am quite happy now seeing, meeting and communicating with friends, family and acquaintances in Facebook. Besides it is free of use. Lastly, when I visited friendster website lately, I found out that it is already a gaming site. sad to say, I don't have much time playing games in the internet. Goodbye Friendster! Chaos in my PC Room

There is a chaos again in my pc room. Travel books, paper cut-outs, pens, postcards are scattered around. I hope to fix and arrange everething before weekend comes. I also have another problem. One of the switch covers is broken. Someone need to fix this or else it can cause injuries when not repaired. I found some good wood switch covers online and would love to show it to hubby. I hope he can secure one of these to replace the broken switch cover. I also need another shelf for my books. This room need to be repaired anyway. For now, I will just see to it that all my stuffs here are arrange all the time. See you later folks. I will be out to meet some friends for awhile.

English Wikipedia to be Blacked Out To Protest SOPA and PIPA

I was surprised as I read this messages on top of Wikipedia's site. It says that, "Please note: in less than 8 hours, the English Wikipedia will be blacked out globally to protest SOPA and PIPA". This simply means that starting January 18, 2012, Wikipedia in English will be unavailable for 24 hours. I believed a lot of people especially the students and even myself will be very sad about this. I love this site and it is like my encyclopedia.

Birthday Presents

There are always a lot of things to be thankful of in our lives. First and foremost is the gift of life. This is one of the greatest gift to be grateful of. Next month my sister and my father will be celebrating their birthdays. They always use to celebrate it together every year as thanksgiving for another year in their lives. For that reason, I already started to think of unique birthday presents especially for my father. My brother for sure would love cao cigars as presents but I guess my father won't because he don't smoke. For my sister, I already have something for her. Want A New Travel Gadget

I just smile when one friend always tells and reminds me not to forget my extra cameras when I travel. She already knew that I always have extra cameras with me everytime I go for a trip or vacation. In fact I am wishing for another travel gadget. It is an EX-H20G. It is actually a Casio digital camera with built-in GPS in it. What does this means? Wherever you go travelling around the globe the camera can detect where the photo or image was taken due to its built-in hybrid GPS system. This simply means that it performs accurate geotagging of images. The system automatically updates the positional information based on the exact location determined by GPS reception.

This kind of camera is very helpful for me because sometimes I can't remember everything where the photos were exactly taken. I believed it is a very helpful travel gadget especially for a blogger like me. I hope to buy it before my next trip this year.

Need A New External Hard Drive

I felt sad for a friend whose external hard drive won't function anymore. They stored a lot of movies and some vacation photos in it. That is really sad. If I were that, I would already roll on the floor and cry. Just kidding folks.

Anyway, this is also the reason why I am needing another external hard drive again. I already have three but the two are almost full. Most of the files I have there are photos from my vacation since 2007 and other important documents and data. I always see to it that I saved important data and photos on two external hard drives. The first one I bought last 2007 was 400 Gigabytes and it has only 5 G free now. The second one is 1000 Gigabytes and there are only 10G left. The one that I bought last year is 1.5 Terabyte (1500 G). It is half full now.

I am looking since last week a cheaper and affordable EHD in the internet but it seems that it is quite expensive. I was even bidding in Ebay but I just can't always monitor it. Besides I am not quite sure if Ebay sellers are also giving warranty or guarantee. I am also watching for different advertisement flyers that were sent to us from time to time. I am still not in a hurry to buyit but the earlier the better. Once I will see a good and cheaper one, I will immediately secure one.

Getting Ready for the Holiday

I am quite busy today.,,and yes getting ready for Christmas and New Year. Little presents for family and friends were already wrapped and some foods for Christmas Eve were partially prepared. For sure, I cannot say no to delicious food on the table tomorrow. This would also mean more fats and calories intake from the parties. I need to get ready for my new year's resolutions for next year. One of it is to go on diet and more exercise. I think of buying another two more yoga mats for my yoga activities starting next year. There are a lot of plans and resolutions for the year 2012 and I hope that most of it will come true.

It's Snowing Outside

It's 5PM and it is already very dark outside. This is the disadvantage of winter time. Before darkness broke-out this afternoon, I had the chance to look outside our window. I found out that white cotton-like snow are falling down. This is the first snow fall that I have seen since my return from our Spain trip.

I believed snowboarders and skiers would love to have more and more snow especially in the mountains where they mostly do all the snow sports. I am sure their snowboard racks are full again with snow gadgets and equipments. I wish I have the chance to go up to the highest mountain in Germany, the Zugspitze. Wish me luck peeps!

Uploading Pictures from Spain Trip

I am very thankful that I am feeling very better now. I had some colds after the trip we had in Spain. It was a wonderful trip and so far the best one for me this year. I am back home now and I have a lot of things to do and finish before Christmas day comes.

I mentioned yesterday that I am just done unpacking my luggage. This weekend I need to start downloading all the pictures I took during our 8-days trip to Spain. I have around 15 SD cards for downloading. I already downloaded it in my netbook, the one that I bought with me in Spain. Since I want a back-up of all my pictures, I will download it again in my 1500 GB external hard drive. This is where I have all the travel photos I took during my trips. I just want to make it sure that I always have a back-up of it.

Toys for Kids

Another TGIF is here! I hope you are having a good one. I was busy today with a lot of things. I am also done unpacking my luggage after a short vacation to Spain. I should do it the next day we came back from our trip last Tuesday but I was quite sick with colds. Glad to know that I am feeling very better now. I also did some laundry and cleaning.

On the other hand, it seems that Christmas is just around the corner. Are you ready packing the gifts for your kids, family or friends. I am partially done. I am thinking of giving an atmosphere yoyo for my friend's only son. I found a very nice one online. Besides I am thinking that it is a unique present. The last time I played yoyo was during elementary grades. That was almost three decades ago. I can't imagine how time flies by so fast.

Apple admits there is a problem with iPhone 4S's battery life - but says it will take weeks to fix

Apple has finally admitted that there are problems with the new iPhone 4S's battery life, after weeks of reports of devices overheating and batteries draining in less than 12 hours.

The good news is that the problem appears to be due to a bug in the iOS 5 software that the phones use - rather than a problem with the battery itself.

The bad news is that the problem will take 'a few weeks' to fix.

Speaking to website AllThingsD, Apple said, 'A small number of customers have reported lower than expected battery life on iOS 5 devices.'

I received a mail last week that I am qualified for a certain job nearby our place. I am hoping that I will be given a chance to prove myself with this job. It is just a clerical job and I believed I can do it. If I will not be accepted in this job, I am thinking of another alternative. I am planning to go back to school and maybe study and learn one of the System Support & Documentation Jobs. I also have another choice and it is probably to study tourism and become a tourist guide. I always love to travel and has a passion for it. What do you think folks? I have to ask the experts about their opinions about these fields.

Some people are lucky. Some might not. Sometimes you can also try your luck. That is the reason why I am trying my luck from time to time. Last week, I played lottery hoping to win some millions of money. If I win this big I want to buy gold coins at Golden Eagle. Gold is one of the best investments these days. Sad to say, my numbers were not lucky enough. I read last weekend that there were 9 lotto winners who won over 1 million Euros each. Congratulations peeps! You are now instant millionaires.

YouTube Account is Cancelled

I received an email notification from Youtube today. It says that I need to update my account. When I clicked the link to update it, it says that I need to link it to my Google account. Since I am using a yahoo email address to sign-in in Youtube, starting December 13, 2011, it will no longer be valid.

This is the message that appeared on my screen as I was trying to update my account.

"Link your YouTube and Google Accounts
You will no longer be able to sign in to YouTube without a Google Account.
If you do not want to link this YouTube account, you can sign out here."

It is fine if I can no longer sign-in with my yahoo email address. I will use very soon my existing google account in Youtube. Cheers!

I just looked at the calendar to confirm what date we are exactly having today. It seems that another month is coming very soon. For many, the month of December is so far the nicest month because of the celebration of the Christmas season. Giving gifts during this month is also a tradition especially for Christians. Due to this, I am also thinking of the coolest presents I can give especially to my brothers. How about a funny t-shirt for each of them. Isn't it a cool present. Simple Entertainment

There are various forms of entertainments anytime and anywhere. I have some friends whose husbands want to watch movies after going home from work. Others want to go to the cinema to watch movies. Other go out with friends during the night clubbing or discoing. Some love to watch concerts and operas. Hubby on the other hand is fond of watching programs over the Television. He loves especially watching themes about nature and travel. I wanted to buy another external hard drive where I can save and download videos, music and movies. In that way, we can have more entertainment at home.

Like hubby I also watch interesting TV programs or simply browse the internet. Cleaning, cooking and gardening are also the forms of entertainment I have at home. How about you?

Lappy is Working Again

Happy Veterans Day to all American friends! Anyway, I am glad that after my laptop is working again.It was diagnosed with a severe fever last weekend. After I brought it to the doctor, there it goes, I can open it again. I was so worried when it wasn't working good because I am thinking of buying new one again. I just remember that it is still on warranty because I just bought it last year in November. It has a 24 months warranty. I hope it won't work weird again. Thanks also to my Ace netbook who had helped when my Asus was out of service last weekend.

My Mouse Freezes When Opening Firefox Browser

I am not really a computer geek. Sometimes there are problems in my laptop and I can fixed it. This time, it is annoying. Everytime I open my Firefox browser my mouse freezes. I tried it again ang again but still it is doing the same thing. I have been trying to find it out but to no avail. I guess I have the Firefox 7.01 version installed in my laptop.

Good to know that I have another netbook and tried to find the reason why it happens. It might be an issue about Firefox add-ons. Since I never had the chance to open Firefox browser, I tried Internet explorer which is also installed in my laptop. After trying IE, here I am now, online again.

I never had a problem with Firefox before. If I cannot resolve the issue about opening Firefox browser and afterwards my mouse freezes, I might end up switching to IE soon. I have been working on this since three hours now. I thought there were problems with my laptop especially my mouse and keyboard, but after checking everything I did not found any issue. I need to check some help and guides online especially about Firefox add-ons.

No More Uniforms

This is one thing I notice since I live in Europe. When I was still working at the bank in the Philippines, we used to wear uniforms. Honestly, I miss wearing those stuffs. Doctors and nurses in my home country and even salesgirls in huge malls and department stores are also wearing uniforms. You seldom see it here in Germany. In fact, I never saw employees at the bank or big offices wearing uniforms. During my visit in Las Vegas three years ago, I saw nurses and caregivers wearing this so-called Carhartt Scrubs in a nursing home. My sister is even wearing one. That is not really a bad idea because you have the freedom of what to wear in going to work. Right folks?

Need to Organize My Photo Albums

This is one of the pending assignments I need to do as soon as I can. I need to organize my photo albums in my external hard drive. Sometimes, I have a difficulty of finding the right photos for the articles that I am writing on my blogs. I have been planning to do this for quite a long time now but when I already sit in front of my laptop, I can already see a lot of things and forget about it. Winter is almost coming! The temperature is starting to get sub-zero especially during the night. This is the time that we need to change the tires of our cars from summer to winter tires. I am thankful that hubby already did it all. Some American friends are using the four-seasons tire but we usually don't. Most Germans don't use these kind of tires. As what I have heard winter tires are better than four-season ones. I guess it is also depends on what kind of winter you have. We usually get heavy snow in the Bavarian part of Germany. Besides, it also depends on how you are driving during winter time. Most people who have accidents are driving too fast and never calculate that when it is cold during the night especially when it rains , the road get frozen early in the morning.

Don't forget to change your tires now. Better early than sorry. Have a safe driving too!

Watching TV

I just finished watching Television. It was a nice program about problematic or rebellious children who changed for a better. These kids were from Germany and were sent by their parents to the jungle somewhere in Brazil. In Germany, they only know how to drink and smoke and fight back with their parents but after learning the reality of life and living in Brazil, these kids changed.

It is just like sending an alcoholic person in los angeles rehab to be treated properly. I know some people who have problems like this. Alcoholism, drug addiction and the like need to be taken care of before it will totally ruin a person's life. Thanks to these rehabilitation centers who had helped a lot of people in getting back their normal and healthy lives.

I am always happy watching this program on TV especially when these problem kids changed for a better. The title of the TV program is "The Strictest Parents in the World." It is featured every Tuesday.

Wish To Go Zumba

This is one of the best exercise I tried. I also have a friend who is fond of zumba. I admire her having all the time to go zumba. This is one of the reason why she maintains her petite body. Some months ago another friend bought a zumba xbox 360. We use to go zumba in their house. I remember sweating for almost an hour of zumba exercise. I love it because it seems that you are also dancing with the beat of disco music. The problem is, after doing zumba, we also eat a lot of yummy Filipino foods like humba. I am still hoping to go zumba again with friends. It is one of the best ways to work-out and exercise, thus losing weight. I need discipline to remove my excess weight since winter is coming..lol! I am thinking of buying zumba xbox 360 this holiday season.

Leaning tower of London? Big Ben is tilting

The 96 meter (yards) high clock tower of the Houses of Parliament -- known colloquially as Big Ben, the name of the great bell it houses -- is sinking unevenly into the ground, causing it to lean toward the northwest.

House Number

This is one thing I always forgot. Until now, you can never find a house number in front of our house. I live for more than eight years now in this house but since then, I never see one. We have been planning to put one but it is not our priority now. Besides I always forgot to buy it everytime I visit a hardware store. I hope I don't miss buying one of those house address plaques in my next visit to a hardware. Anyway, I just remember now where to order it. What is the use of online hopping? One more thing, we might be stopping-by in a hardware store this coming Friday. We just need some things before winter comes.

No More Biking This Time

It's been some years now since I did not go biking. Since hubby's bike accident last 2007, I am already afraid of biking. His ankle was broken that time was operated. I admire some people from the neighborhood especially the old ones in their seventies who can still do biking. Our two bikes are in the storage at he back of the house. We are thinking of getting yakima bike racks for our two bikes. I wish I can go biking again but my fear always overshadowed me. I am still not too old to go biking but as of now I prefer walking rather than biking. At least I am having some exercise which I believed is better than nothing at all.

I have a lot of spam mails in my inbox again. While we were away from a short vacation and I was not able to check my emails. I am always tired after each day trip we had. Posted below is one of the scam mails I received. I tried to press reply so that I can see the sender and the exact time when this scam mail was sent. I also immediately moved it to my spam mail to avoid receiving it in the future.

Here is the body of the scam mail. I wish I have this money that they are talking here..sad to say, this is one of those fraud mails proliferating in the internet. Be careful guys when receiving such kind of mails.

Travel Insurance

Our vacation to Turkey is coming soon. There are still some things that I need to prepare before the trip. I am partially done with packing and will finish it anytime tonight. I almost forgot to get a travel insurance since Turkey is not included in the European Union. I called ADAC and it was immediately process. Yesterday, I already received the travel insurance contract. It was a very fast service from ADAC.

Some people in Europe travel with their rv when they go on vacation or adventure anywhere. I am very sure they have this so-called rv emergency roadside assistance anytime they need it. It is like a towing insurance which is also very important especially when there are emergencies on the road. We have the same insurance and it is really of big help. We never know when emergencies and accidents happen, it is better to have one.

Besides yahoo will never ask your personal information and password. Beware of these spammers and never ever give your personal information especially your password.

No More Loans this Year

Living a simple but quite happy and contented life is what we are having right now. We don't drive Mercedez or BMW but we have cars to drive anytime and anywhere we need it. We have a small stone house and I believed it is already enough for us. As much as possible we don't want to have loans anymore. We keep on receiving advertisements from different financial companies, who want to grant us credits but we don't really need it. We don't want a debt collector to always ask us for loan payments.

Simple life, simple living...this is great and most of the time no stress at all. As long as we live according to our means and have all the basic things we need in life, then life is truly happy. Thus, no more loans this year and hopefully in the years to come also. Have a lovely day to all!

I am slowly packing for a short trip to Turkey starting next week. As part of the preparation, I already checked a lot of things for this trip. This morning, I already called ADAC for a travel insurance. I also checked the different places that we will be visiting in Turkey. I am quite excited to visit the big bazaar in Istanbul. I heard that shopping there is great. I also heard that jewelries in Turkey are cheap. I am just not sure if I can find a scott kay jewelry there. If not I will search for it online.

More on our trip, I already start packing my stuffs this morning. I already listed some of the things that we need during that trip. I already browsed for currency in Turkey which is Turkish lira. Of course, I am very much excited to see different interesting places like Troy, Bursa, Pergamum, Ephesus, Izmir, Aphrodisias and Turkey's capital city, Istanbul.

Where are my Photo Albums in Friendster?

I believed some of you are members of friendster, a social network online. It has been a long time, I guess almost a half year now, since the last time I logged-in in this network. I had the chance to check it yesterday. I want to check some personal photos in my albums but to my dismay everything were gone.

What happened to friendster and where did all my photo albums go? I also found out that it is a gaming network now. Most of my friends' personal profile pictures were also gone and were replaced with animes. I guess most of the members of friendster are in facebook now...not really a good idea losing all those photos of mine in friendster. I guess I will be deleting my friendster account soon. What do you think folks?

Our Kitchen Floor

It needs to be replaced soon. Our kitchen floor especially in the cooking area is getting slowly damaged. It is due to our defect faucet. We did not noticed immediately that our faucet continues to drop water until one morning the kitchen floor got so wet. It is made of wood and get slowly damaged. Our kitchen and dining needs a total make-over. I wish to have some acura tl custom floor mats on the floor when it will be repaired. For now, we are just doing some improvisation. I wipe it from time to time. We are currently looking for our portable dryer to dry everything in our wet kitchen floor.

We just had a lot of home improvements this year and want to do next our kitchen as soon as we can and when finances are available. At least, we have a house that we can call our home.

I just remember that today is the first day of September. Oh yes, the BER months are slowly coming. I just want to say goodbye great month of August and hoping again for another wonderful month of September. I just remember that next month will also be our 8th wedding anniversary. I can't believed that time truly flies-by so fast. This time I am already thinking of a special present to hubby for our anniversary. I am thinking of something simple but memorable. These might also be the gifts that your husband will definitely eat. Hubby was telling me last night that chocolates especially the black ones are good for the heart and body. I agree with him but also reminded him that too much eating of chocolates is not good and can cause diabetics. That is also the reason why I am only letting him eat moderately. For now, this special present is a secret.

Oh Yes, Mozilla Firefox has again another version of its browser. I just updated its latest version which is Firefox 6.0 last Monday. Yesterday, there was a message that popped-up on my screen that says, ther is again another 6.01 version. When I opened my computer this morning, I opted to install again this latest version. This version seems to have improving speed, stability and security.

I am a happy user of Mozilla Firefox. Thanks to its developers for sharing this faster and more convenient browser.

Harvest Month is Almost Ending

The harvest month is almost ending. I am very thankful that the month of August is a great month for me. I had a wonderful birthday celebration last time. I had some travels in some places in Europe again. My Mother went well after being hospitalized. I always had great time with friends. Time flies so fast now and I am very thankful that August was again another wonderful and memorable time for me.

The BER months are about to come. Festivals such as Halloween, Oktoberfest and most of all the Christmas season is about to come also. Talking especially about Halloween, I need to find the halloween décor in our attic or else I need to shop for it again. I am quite sure that we will be having again another enjoyable halloween celebration with friends.

Favicon is Finally Working

What is a favicon? I believed most bloggers have an idea of what a favicon is. It is usually a shortcut icon, a website icon or a URL icon. In blogger platform for example, you can now download a favicon for your blog(s). I already tried it in some of my blogs and it is working. The problem is, it is not automatically updated. Last week, as far as I can remember on Thursday, I uploaded a favicon for my Travel and Discover USA blog, the favicon still did not work until this morning. As I checked it again this afternoon, I can finally see my favicon. This gives my website its own identity now. I am happy about it. Thanks blogger team for this feature. I love it!

Need to Update and Clean-up our PC

It's been some months now since I planned to update and clean-up my PC, hubby's HP laptop and my netbook also. Due to busy schedules all the time, I can't find a perfect time to do it. There are just a lot updates and clean-up that I need to do. I also need a document scanning software. I don't know why I cannot connect our new printer to my Asus laptop. Again, I cannot find the exact solution since I am not really a computer geek. I can probably do it but I need more time and effort to learn about it. I am hoping to finish updating the three computers next month.

Flowers for My Birthday

It was so far one of the most wonderful and joyous birthday celebration I had. Last Saturday was truly a memorable day for me. A lot of friends, neighbors and hubby's relatives attended the party. Hubby's twin sister gave me a very beautiful orchid filled with white flowers. I believed it is a Phalaenopsis one.

Sometimes, I also have difficulty in viewing my photos. At least when I try it again after some hours, it is working again. It is good to know that from time to time we can always see our friends and family in facebook. You can also chat and send messages through it. Just be careful with whom you are making friends in facebook and how you manage your profile setting especially on who can write on your wall or view your photos. I set-up my profile that only my friends can see it.

Birthday Present

I was watching Television with hubby an hour ago. I guessed, he remembered something. I was surprised as he asked me what do I want as birthday present. I told him that the gift that I wanted is priceless because he is already the best and one of the greatest presents in my life. Even though I actually want some golden monogrammed cufflinks, I told him that I can buy it in a couple of months. Hubby told me that we can probably buy some during our trip to Turkey next month. He said that gold in this country is not so expensive as in Germany. I need to do a lot of things before that 10-day trip in Turkey comes.

Need One in Our Garden

It rained again tonight. That is very good for our garden. The plants and the flowers are happy again. It is an advantage for me because I will not water them tomorrow. Besides rainwater is always better as as water coming from the pipes. Next year, we are planning to buy one of those stainless steel barrels for storing rainwater. Another advantage of it is that, we can save water from the pipes, thus saving money too. Our garden looks great the past days because it always rain every now and then. I already tried it many times but still I cannot install google toolbar in my new Mozilla Firefox 5 browser. I installed this browser last week and I noticed that my google toolbar was gone because it says that it is not compatible with Firefox 5 browser. I guessed google toolbar is still not updated with this new version from Firefox. Probably at the moment google is still updating their toolbar to get compatible with Firefox 5.

June is almost ending again. I hope you had a wonderful one for this month. It was quite a great month for me despite being sick for some days and being so busy with a lot of things. In overall, June was a great month for me and I am very thankful about it.

Back to main topic:I updated my beloved browser last Monday. The old Firefox version that was running in my laptop is now replaced with Firefox 5. After the major released of Firefox 4 three months ago, Firefox 5 came out immediately which matches Google Chrome's rapid release schedule. It was released on June 21, 2011.

I have been using this browser for some years now without having a problem in my PC. Per experience I believed, it is safer, faster and a reliable browser.

I am trying to think when was the time I did an online shopping. This afternoon hubby told me that there are some printer inks that are on sale online. I did not take a look at it because I forgot it. Second I was so busy the whole day today. In fact I am so busy the whole month of June and even forgot to give hubby a father's day present. I am thinking about giving him a rocawear but I just told him tonight that I will be the one to pay for our vacation to Turkey this coming September. Hello folks! How is your weekend? I hope everything went great. I am doing fine except for a very bad migraine yesterday. I am very thankful that I feel better now.

Anyway I am trying to figure out the product key for the Microsoft Word program in my laptop. As far as I know this software is already pre-installed in my laptop. The problem is I cannot find its product key. I am trying to find the CDs which were included when this electronic was delivered but I cannot really find the product key. I also tried the 25 digits mixed letters and numbers located at the back of the laptop but it always says, it is the wrong key. I will contact the vendor of my laptop soon because I really need to use the Microsoft Word program. Wish me luck!

It was raining almost the whole afternoon last Saturday. Due to that, hubby was not able to continue to work on our terrace and garage project. It is still under construction and it requires more time and money. There are just a lot of improvements and repair that we need to do in our house. We need a new kitchen and for sure I want a stainless steel sink. Our bathroom is also a priority and we need to repair it. Little by little we are doing some home improvements from time to time when finances are available. I hope we can finish our terrace before August comes. Thanks to hubby for his great job. Summer time is truly camping time! I wish I can go camping again one of these days. I only experienced camping when me and my friends climbed Mount Apo, the highest mountain in the Philippines last year 2000. For this camping plan, I am already looking for camping gadgets in an advertisement flyer last weekend. It will come out next week and I want to buy some. I read online that Thermarest Neo Air Sleeping Pad is good. I am thinking of buying one. We also need a camping tent, cooking utensils, backpack, flashlights and other camping needs. If we cannot do it this year, at least I already started gathering the stuffs that we will be needing. Hopefully next year again.

We don't expect any mail or package from the U.S. last month and I concluded that this is again another scam mail in the internet.

I am a Pinay expat in Europe for almost 8 years now. Imagine the distance between my home country, Philippines and Germany? That is thousands of miles away. Thanks to the different mediums in internet like video calling, chat, blogs, emails, video conferencing and social networks where I can have contacts to all important persons in my life especially my family, friends, relatives and former classmates.

Whether you find yourself away from friends and family just for a brief vacation or because you'll be studying abroad or going away for a longer period of time, it's important to keep in touch with the people that are close to you. In the past this could be a challenge, but with the internet and today's technology there are many good ways to stay in touch with others.

1) Social Networking

There are several social media in the internet today where we can take hold and have contacts anywhere around the world. Social networking websites like MySpace and Facebook allow you to stay in contact with many of the people that you know. You can just give them a brief update about what you're up to, say a quick hello, or put up pictures to view. This way you'll feel like you're still in contact with lots of your friends and family at once.

I am very glad that I joined these social networking sites like Facebook and Friendster. I am always updated with current news about my family and friends. Not only that, I can also see their pictures.

I received two spam mails in my yahoo inbox yesterday. I was thinking these are another spam mails again. I immediately put it in my spam mails to avoid getting it in the future. Receiving such messages are quite annoying sometimes. The senders don't even mention the company where they are working. That is also the reason why I concluded that such emails are spam or fraudulent ones. I was only wondering where they get my full name.

Trying To Lose Weight

Last week, when I was looking at some of my old pictures, I was quite inspired to lose excess pounds. Actually, I had been planning to do this goal some months and even years ago. Last March, I told myself that I really need to lose my excess weight in six months. Does it mean that I already need some diet supplements to get rid of my excess pounds? I still have three months left and I really need to prove myself that I can. This also means more control and discipline of myself especially in my eating habit. I was invited by a friend yesterday for some lunch and I am happy that I did not eat a lot. I believed it is one way of losing weight. Agree with me guys? Good morning everyone! Another week is here again. It seems that my day is starting great plus the sunshine outside adds more energy to my body. Last Wednesday, when I woke up in the morning, I noticed that there was a big sore on my right chin. It was another adult acne again. I said to myself, "not another one again". I was eating chocolates with nuts days before and I noticed that everytime I do it, acne will strike immediately. I am glad that it is slowly going away now. Beware of the "OMG.. Look What THIS Kid Did to His School After Being Expelled!" in Facebook. This is a spam! I am just reminding all my facebook friends and all facebookers to be aware of this message that is proliferating now in Facebook. Some of your account might got hacked already.

I received a comment from a friend in my facebook profile that says, "This is realy insane.. you have to see this". Actually it is some sort of a video with entitled, "OMG.. Look What THIS Kid Did to His School After Being Expelled!". I tried to click the video and it opened in another window. After that, it instructed me to press some keys in my keyboard. I forgot to save the instruction but I did not do it because I was doubting that it is a spam/scam again. It might also contain virus which might harm our computer.

If your happened to received such messages, you can try to move your cursor on the right side of the message and you will see the "X" or delete button. You can press "Mark as spam" so that it will be reported as spam in facebook also. See also the screenshot which I posted below.

Jobless But Happy

Jobless but happy? I believed this doesn't sounds good for those people who are jobless and are still looking for jobs at the moment. With the economic and financial crisis that hit America in 2008, which also made a domino effect to the whole world until now, looking for a certain job is sometimes quite difficult. I was engaged before in some sales jobs and I loved. In fact, I also owned before a general merchandising store but due to change of residence, the store was closed. Second, I also miss my job as a banker. I am just happy that hubby can feed me and can provide my basic needs. Of course, I am still willing to work if ever opportunity arises. For now, I am quite enjoying my status of being jobless and sometimes being a freelancer is quite good. Anyone out there who want to hire me?

Waiting for my New Digital Camera

It seems that my Sony point and shoot digital camera is retiring very soon. That is also the reason why I ordered a new one the other day. It is still working but sometimes you will lose your patience because it took you too long to press its shoot button. Hubby told me to have a new replacement for it and I told him, okey fine! I don't need at the moment a canon projector but I am wishing for a Canon D7 SLR. Not now I guess, because my 550D or T2I model is only around 6 months old. Besides I have other priorities now than buying it, traveling. I am quite contented with my Canon T2I but when given a chance and budget to buy a D7 would truly make me happy.

I am very happy for my two friends whose daughters will be graduating in high school soon. I also found some pictures of my friend in facebook where her daughter together with her classmates are wearing prom dresses. Her daughter look very beautiful in her prom dress. I just remember that this one friend of mine is still looking for a prom dress for her daughter's Senior Prom. I want to ask her tomorrow if she already found one. I believed she can find a lot in the internet or else she should go to a dress shop that is sewing and selling such kind of attires. Hello everyone! I did not remember that today is already the last day of April until hubby told me this noon time. I hope you had a wonderful month of April 2011 just like me. I believed this is a good month for me because I did accomplished some small things. The best part that happened was during my spring vacation in Monaco. We also visited some places in Italy like Cinque Terre and San Remo and also in France especially Nice, Cannes and Menton. I will share more updates about this in my other travel sites. For now, I need to search and read about post workout supplement reviews before we will visit the 4th day of German-American Volksfest in Hohenfels. This will be my 4th day of visit to this festival which is already a history for me. Ladt night, I had fun and enjoyment with some friends especially listening to the live band inside the beer tent.

Hello folks! It seems that the month of April is almost ending now. Time truly pass-by so fast. It has been almost five years now since I am jobless. Despite of that, I can say that I am still alive and kicking. In fact my life has more adventures and excitements compared to the time when I was still working. Don't you know that I still keep my name tags from my last employer. It is just a sort of remembrance for me. It says my name, my job position and the company that I worked with. At least, once in my life I became a supervisor of one of the biggest retail stores in the U.S. with branches in some countries around the world. It was a wonderful and challenging experience and I believed I had done my part.

Scam about Apple Ipad giveaway for Testing

I previously received some of these messages in my facebook profile telling about giving away of Apple iPad2 to test out. I don't really believed such kind of messages. I tried to click the link that was given in the message and I was redirected to a website with a URL below;
http://mybrandprizes.com/ip/index.php?lid=ip_13326_2890e&add_offerid=7993191&addomain=rsgauge10.com&addomain_id=62&uniclk=true

They will ask you to select the color of the Ipad2 and the zip code of the city/country where you live. I tried typing the zip code in Cebu City, Philippines and Brussels, Belgium but they won't accept it. I tried a zip code in Las Vegas, Nevada and then it goes, you can continue with the registration. Just a reminder, never ever register because this site is a Spam or Scam and with malicious adware according to MacAfee Site Advisor.

Be very careful with this scam and never ever give your personal information like full name, address, birthday, telephone number. etc. When I read their disclosure it says, " Your information will be shared with our marketing partners.". This is not really good.

Monday Etcetera

Another week is here again. I have to make again some double time to finish all the jobs before I take-off this coming Friday. I have been very busy this morning. I woke-up earlier to do some errands. After I took my tea ceremony, I immediately made me ready to go to the Gemiende or municipal hall to submit the plan for our carports and terrace. I also went to the post office to send a mail.

I went shopping after that. When I stopped at the gas station to fill-up my car, I complained because the gasoline was so expensive. Imagine almost 1.63 Euros per liter?? I can't do anything because I need gas very badly or else I will be pushing my car.

When I went home, I was a bit pissed-off because the daughter's neighbor parked her car to our parking area. I don't really get easily angry but my hunger was making me crazy this noon time. I ended up parking the car on the side of the street and carrying the heavy bags of grocery items inside the house. It did me more effort of carrying which made me more hungry....arrgh! .uh uh!..relax...take care of your heart..lol!

I don't understand sometimes why some people are so nonsense. They already know that it is not their area but still they keep on parking there. When I get pissed-off again, I will close our boundary so that they can't park their car anymore. I guess, hubby is right the neighbors children are blöd! In short st*pid...sorry for the bad word..I don't really want to say it but what happened this noon time just made me so mad.

I ended up broking my favorite bowl when I was cooking this noon time because I was in a hurry already. I felt better again after eating. I want to eat during lunch time in Mc Donald but I am not really a junk eater. Enough for my rants today, besides I don't want to raise my blood pressure..wink! . I need to do some more errands now because I will be away for some days starting Friday for a short trip.

Car Break Not Working

Hubby was complaining about his car last week. He said that the break of his car was not properly working. After bringing it to his twin sister's car shop, he found out that the break pads were full of rust. It was caused by the salt sprayed on the street last winter time. Hubby seemed to do an rv repair last time because it took him some hours to clean and fix everything. He was very happy after fixing it. One last thing, he don't need to pay for the cost of the repair because he did it himself. That is the advantage because he have some knowledge on how to repair a car or truck. We saved some bucks again.

Another Scam Mail in My Inbox

Sometimes, these scam mails I am receiving in my inbox are so annoying. Everytime I receive it, I immediately put in in my spam folder to avoid receiving it again in the future. I copied and pasted the whole body of the letter including the full header of the mail which you can find at the bottom. I want to find out later where this mail originated through its IP address from its header.

Never ever entertain such kind of mails if you receive one in your inbox. These are form of fraudulent emails. It is a scam that is proliferating in the internet. Continue reading below to be informed how these scammers are writing it.

Japan Catastrophe

It makes me sad everytime I hear and read the news about the catastrophe in Japan. I can't really imagine that tragic disaster. I read over the internet that there were around twenty five thousands of casualties from that earthquake and tsunami. My deepest sympathy and condolence to the families who lost their loveones. Another shocking news were the explosions of the nuclear plants in Fukushima. We all know the effect of this radioactive elements especially to human. These radioactive elements result to terminal disease like cancer. It is almost the same with mesothelioma, a cancer from the exposure of asbestos. Good to know that there are mesothelioma treatments that can be performed by expert physicians.

Lastly, I truly I admired how the Japanese people and their government handle the tragedy that is happening in Fukushima, Japan. They do themselves proud with their sense of community and hard work. Respect to them and most of all my prayers especially to all the victims of the said calamity. I hope that it will be resolve very soon. God bless Japan. God bless us all!
